The cellar of Damiano Ciolli, heir to a family of winemakers, knows how to fully convey the joy of his choice of life in the vineyard, producing only two labels that symbolize Damiano’s efforts and will in the work he has been doing since 2001 with the Cesanese di Olevano. This red, considered the entry wine of the cellar, takes its name from the flower that grows in these countryside and in fact reflects its fresh and floral aspects.

The Cesanese “Silene” represents a face of his tireless desire to show the national panorama the incredible particularity and pleasantness of this wine, which proves to be clean and exemplary in terms of balance and depth. The vineyard that gives life to this “Silene” is a small jewel: originally planted in the traditional “distaff”, it was then placed in a wall row to improve its management. The vineyards have southern exposure, are located at an altitude of approximately 450 meters and rest on red volcanic soil .

Damiano’s idea of ​​focusing only on the production of pure Cesanese repaid him for all the sacrifices made: this wine, in fact, immediately demonstrated great character and excellent freshness, highlighting notes of red wild fruits on the nose , flowers and an unmistakable mineral trait . Thanks to his work, Damiano Ciolli has taken on a leading role in that small and courageous group of producers who continue to renew the stylistic model of Cesanese di Olevano, bringing it year after year to incredible successes.
