Jiemon Kura began the business in 1637, and it has its headquarters in Fushimi, Kyoto. It is currently a part of the Henokiens group and is one of the oldest businesses in the world. Gekkeikan, the name, literally translates as “laurel wreath.” A 14.5% alcohol by volume.
