Complex and smooth to the point of elegance it is produced from both molasses and sugar cane honey in a combination of kettle, copper pot and columns stills and aged for a minimum of 12 years in small Spanish and American oak casks. Diplomatico Rum Reserva Exclusiva has a lively aroma with citrus and liquorice notes against a maple syrup background. On the tongue, dark chocolate, toffee and fudge join the flavour parade. A true sipper, it is best experienced neat but a small amount of ice or splash of water isn’t out of the question.
